Tania is appointed a Member of the Order of Australia
Tania de Jong has received an AM in the Queen's Birthday Honours for service to the arts as a performer and entrepreneur and through the establishment and development of music and arts enrichment programs for schools and communities. MTA is thrilled to announce that Pot-Pourri was named Australian Event Entertainer of the Year 2007 in the BT Publishing E-Awards for Event Excellence in an awards ceremony during RSVP in Sydney on 2 July. Awarded for their consistently outstanding performances and constant innovation in corporate, community and charity entertainment, the award represents a significant acknowledgement and commendation from the Business and Tourism industry. World Congress on EndometriosisOur sensational Melbourne songsters Pot-Pourri have a new show with wonderful new performers Jon Bode (tenor) and Rebecca Bode (soprano) joining Tania de Jong, Jonathan Morton and Rebecca Chambers. The group has an all new look and lots of new repertoire. They have had a standing ovation for each show they have done in 2008 so far! Recent events have included the International Clinical Competence Conference Gala Dinner at MECC, a season of 14 shows at The Actors Studio in Kuala Lumpur, Opera in the Vineyards at Bird in Hand Winery in the Adelaide Hills and the World Congress on Endometriosis. MTA produced the social events for the WCE including a stunning Opening Ceremony at MECC and the Gala Dinner at the NGV Great Hall. ![]() A traditional Aboriginal musician greeting guests I thought the performance by Pot-Pourri was of very high quality in terms of the music, artistic innovation and uplifting ambiance that it created. Writing special and brilliant lyrics about endometriosis was truly inspired. I have had the opportunity to travel throughout the world and cannot remember a performance I enjoyed more.A letter written by David Healy, the Chairman of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Monash University, Melbourne, is available here. |
