A Cappella, Voices & Choirs available for hire, based in Queensland
StellaVoce was formed in 1987 as the Queensland Children's Choir, under the direction of Rhonda Coady. The members of StellaVoce are talented and motivated middle school singers from Years 4 to 9. With a strong focus on performance and presentation, StellaVoce combines the artistic crafts of voice production and choral singing with light choreography known as ‘choralography’.
Since its inception, StellaVoce has earned a considerable reputation as a talented, innovative and entertaining group. It has toured extensively in Queensland and New South Wales as well as to Victoria, South Australia and the Northern Territory. It has also visited Japan on several occasions.
As well as presenting a number of concerts each year as part of the Queensland Youth Choir’s Concert Series, StellaVoce appears regularly at festivals, conferences, sporting and community events, weddings and other social functions. The group has performed at World Expo '88; with the Queensland Pops and Philharmonic Orchestras; with Frank Sinatra at Sanctuary Cove, Normie Rowe, Jackie Trent and Tony Hatch, Simon Gallaher; and provided chorus members for Brisbane productions (both professional and amateur) of "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat". The choir has frequently featured at the South Bank Parklands Christmas celebrations and has also performed at the Lord Mayor's and Police Commissioner's carols events on numerous occasions.
StellaVoce is committed to excellence in all aspects of performance and offers its members exposure to a wide range of musical genres including popular, folk, classics, gospel, music theatre and Australiana. Training is provided by qualified, professional staff in vocal production, ensemble performance and choreography.
StellaVoce offers young singers the opportunity to be part of a friendly and challenging performance ensemble. The group is dedicated to the development of the individual and collective vocal and performance skills of all its members.
