Surrounded by three outspoken women on the panel, it’s fair to say Joe Hildebrand won’t know what has hit him.

Joe writes a weekly column and edits the Saturday section Inside Edition of Sydney’s biggest selling daily newspaper, The Daily Telegraph.

A regular face on Australian television screens, his credits include Q&A, The Drum, The Morning Show, Paul Murray Live and last year’s hit series Dumb, Drunk and Racist. His most recent series Shitsville Express aired on ABC2 earlier this year.

Joe grew up in Dandenong outside of Melbourne. He went to Dandenong High School and Melbourne University, where he edited the student newspaper. In 2000 he was extradited to Sydney where he landed a cadetship with Australian Associated Press. He has lived there ever since. Despite both these factors, he considers Adelaide his spiritual home, having spent a pleasant weekend there in the mid-1990s.

Joe has an abiding interest in cinema, notably the American action-adventure genre which is often overlooked by mainstream audiences. His favourite film is Independence Day, which until recently he believed to be a documentary.
