The band is lead by vocalist and multi-instrumentalist, Sarah McDonald, who has studied music at university under some of the country's finest teachers [ Julie O'Hara, Gian Slater, Peter Knight ] and has had extensive performance, recording and touring experience. In this ensemble, she brings together a formidably talented group of musicians, who each have a wealth of musical experience, expertise and professionalism.
Their sound is distinctly cool and blue with handpicked repertoire chosen from the past century of jazz, blues, Brazilian and soul and is truly the product of years of dedication and love of music.
The full band is comprised of voice / flute, trumpet, arch top guitar, double bass and drums though we are happy to adapt the lineup to fit your needs, be that duo, trio, 4/ 5/ 6/ 7tet with a flexible choice of instrumentation.
