After leaving the Australian Opera Roger then studied in Europe
for twelve months and took up vocal studies in Germany with
renowned singing teacher, Ms Lisa Hagenau. While there he was
invited to sing and participate in the Spoletto Vocal Institute in
Italy. He sang the title role in The Tales of Hoffmann and Faust
and performed regularly with the touring opera company First Act
Opera. Returning to Australia, Roger sang the lead role of
Turridu in a production of Cavalleria Rusticana and was a
founding member and director of the much-celebrated
International singing sensation The Ten Tenors. In the year
2000, Roger left the Tenors and moved into the entrepreneurial area to create his own entertainment company for aspiring young performers, Vavachi Entertainment. Roger has entertained tens of thousands of Australians in near and far-flung places, on stages and sand dunes, under lights and under stars. Roger has made a name for himself in corporate circles having performed for conferences, dinners, anniversaries, retreats, launches, awards nights, incentives and other special events. Major clients have included, LJ Hooker, Ray White, Maunsell Australia, Accenture Australia, Queensland Ambulance Service,
Queensland Fire Ball, Queensland Events Corporation. He performed at this years Gold Coast Marathon Gala Dinner with his tribute show to the man and his music "Pavarotti Forever" and has recently returned from
performing at the Singapore Grand Prix and as a guest performer in Guangzhou China to popular acclaim.
Roger is a sought-after principal classical performer for any occasion.
