Paul Zabrowarny is a Melbourne-based cellist with a strong interest in contemporary repertoire. After completing his Bachelor of Music at the Elder Conservatorium, Paul studied for four years at the Australian National Academy of Music.
Paul has performed recitals throughout Australia and Europe and has appeared frequently as a soloist with orchestras. He is also a keen chamber musician.
Paul has performed in concerts that have been broadcast on radio and television, including solo performances on ABC Classic FM, Radio Suisse Romande and local radio in Adelaide and Melbourne. In 2007, Paul received grants from the Ian Potter Foundation and the Australia Council to undertake a Masters of Music Performance at the Conservatoire de Lausanne, Switzerland – in the class of Patrick Demenga.
Paul has worked with many of the major Australian orchestras and performs regularly with Orchestra Victoria. Paul was an Emerging Artist with the Australian Chamber Orchestra, and has continued to perform with the ACO2.
