Dawn Strindberg began her career as an actress, before focusing on

circus.

In 2003 she graduated from the WA Academy of Performing Arts,

where she specialised in acting and devising new theatre. She then

journeyed to New Zealand to expand her skills in circus, in aim to

become a circus theatre practitioner. In her 3 years abroad, Dawn

completed her Diploma in Circus Arts at CircoArts, devised and

performed in various circus theatre shows.

In 2006, Dawn integrated her circus and theatre knowledge, and

devised the highly emotional circus theatre show, "The Life of

Eileen," which won acclaim at Wellington Fringe Festival where it

was awarded, 'Best Solo Show' of the Fringe.

In 2008 Dawn has been a featured performer at the WA Circus

Festival and appeared in various events where she has soared in the

air, such as; the Pink Ribbon Ball, Little nippers Festival, Wanneroo

Show, Ronald McDonald Ball, Perth Zoo, Northbridge, the opening

of Hillarys draw bridge, and as the regular Stilt walker and Aerialist

for the Perth Wildcats 2008/09 season.

Dawn trains daily at Theatrix Performing Arts Studio, and is

collaborating with Nick Candy for ‘Catch Me!’ a comic Aerial and

Acrobatic Street Show for Joondalup Festival and Fremantle Street

Arts Festival.
