She starts to sing a few phrases and is interrupted by an English chef also brandishing a spatula. He introduces her and translates her Italian welcome to the guests very humorously. All of a sudden she bursts into song and is soon followed by the English chef and the two combine their magnificent voices and their spatulas in a duet. The audience is totally entranced. Following the opening song, the two chefs (aka top class operatic singers) remove their chef’s costumes to reveal glamorous costumes.
