Rusty and Another Guy bring together quick-witted musical comedy, accomplished musicianship and tightly blended harmonies. Rusty Berther, known to audiences as Rusty Rich from The Scared Weird Little Guys, teams up with musical theatre performer and improviser Mike McLeish for an act built around song parodies, lively improvisation and comic interplay.
After two decades with The Scared Weird Little Guys, Rusty carries that musical comedy experience into a partnership suited to corporate functions, conferences and celebrations. The duo can also explore a specially written song shaped around a company, occasion or message. Ask MTA about tailoring the performance to your event.
Rusty’s skills span singing, comedy writing, arranging and leading a band, alongside guitar, ukulele, banjo, harmonica and double bass. His performance experience ranges from street entertainment and corporate awards nights to live television and appearances at the MCG.
Mike McLeish is widely recognised for playing Paul Keating in Casey Bennetto’s Keating! The Musical. He spent three years touring Australia in the title role, completing that run in August 2008. His theatre and improvisation background complements Rusty’s musical comedy, giving the partnership both vocal strength and spontaneity.
