BumpCity received a standing ovation at the 2004 Manly International Jazz Festival and opened for America's highest selling Polynesian funk and hip hop artist "Fiji" on his inaugural Australian Tour at the Sydney Entertainment Centre in 2005. Bump City have been regulars at Sydney venues The Basement, T2 Bar, New Market Hotel and appeared at the Hollywood Hotel and The Soup Plus.
Highlights of 2006 have included the release of their very successful debut CD "On Top Down Under"; the guest appearance of Tom Politzer, saxaphonist from Tower of Power at one of their gigs and their live guest appearance on the Australian national Channel 9 "Mornings with Kerri-Anne" show.
The band's line up includes: front man Peter Morgan, vocals and percussion; Rod James, drums; Justin Dileo, bass; Vince Lombardo, guitar and Richie Henson, keyboards. Horn section includes Ed Schots, baritone sax; Grant Metcalfe, tenor and alto sax; Steve Luke, trombone; Tom Mc Elvogue and Ross Judd, trumpets.
Front man for BumpCity, Peter Morgan has been an established and well respected part of the Australian and New Zealand music industry for many years. With a unique soulful vocal style, his achievements are exciting, diverse and memorable. He has toured with international stars Randy Crawford, Renee Geyer, bass virtuoso Jeff Berlin and performed as the opening solo artist for The Pointer Sisters.
