Celebrity available for hire, based in Victoria
Tim Freedman is the lead singer and pianist of the Australian band The Whitlams. He was born in Sydney and was raised in Collaroy, in Sydney's Northern Beaches region. In an interview, which aired on 612 ABC Brisbane on Friday September 29, 2006, Freedman said he became a pianist "by mistake" after quitting law school. He later completed a Bachelor of Arts at Sydney University. The song "No Aphrodisiac" was The Whitlams' break-through hit (1997). "It captured the imagination", he said. He says a highlight of his career so far has been receiving the ARIA award for "Best Album" from the man after whom his band The Whitlams were named, former Australian Prime Minister Gough Whitlam.
