The John Leigh Calder Band has it all, from cool jazz/blues, good time R&B to funky soul. The presentation is sensational, featuring one of the most dynamic voices in Australia, John, ‘the Vocal Dynamo.’ John has a voice of sheer excitement and dynamics, imparting to his audience a deep-rooted feel for that Soulful, Jazz, R&B sound. Backed by some of Sydney’s best musicians, the John Leigh Calder Band offers a full evening of exciting music and entertainment.

John’s credits including attaining Record of the Week on Radio I (UK) and Power Play of the Month on Radio Luxemburg, followed by extensive European tours and TV work. The band perform a great mix of Jazz, R&B and Soul, adjusting their repertoire to suit any event; playing background music over dinner, and a huge range of upbeat tunes afterwards, to get the dance floor grooving.

They have performed at venues and festivals including The Basement, The Opera House, Art Gallery of NSW, Darling Harbour, Hotel Intercontinental, Bledisloe Cup (Stadium Australia), Australian Blues Music Festival, and the Manly Jazz Festival.
