Coulter then headed to London, New York & Los Angeles to write and record her second solo album. The first single Can’t Touch It was released in July 2007 and debuted at #2 on the ARIA Chart and remained in the Top 10 for 8 consecutive weeks and certified platinum. The second single Love Is All Around peaked at #5 on the ARIA Chart and was followed by the release of the album Brand New Day which peaked at #37 on the ARIA album chart and was certified Gold. Coulter then toured with Hilary Duff as the support act for her ‘Dignity Tour’. The third single from ‘Brand New Day’ was released in March 2008 ‘Can’t Sing A Different Song’ peaked at #8 on the ARIA Chart. Coulter then embarked on her Brand New Day national tour in Australia. In 2008, she released Wiggle It which peaked at #11 on the ARIA Chart and was the driving single for her compilation album ‘The Singles’.
In 2011 after a year off music Coulter setup and self funded a trip to LA & New York to work on new material. She returned to Australia and signed with new management and inked a global record deal with EMI Music. A major comeback to music with the first single Raining Diamonds was certified platinum and peaked at #19 on the ARIA Singles Chart. Do It Like That was the second single and released in March 2012 the song was synced by major TV network Channel 9 as to promote ‘The Voice Australia’. In August 2012 the album Fear & Freedom Coulter’s third solo studio album was released and debuted at #7 on the ARIA Album Chart. She then embarked on the sold out ‘Fear & Freedom Tour’, which received rave reviews for the shows and she was titled Australia’s new pop princes, the next Kylie Minogue and Australia’s answer to Beyonce.
Ricki-Lee was the headline act for Sydney’s ‘New Years Eve Harbour Party’ at Luna Park Big Top for 6000 party-goers and in January 2013 her sold out show in Melbourne ‘Ricki-Lee Live At The Palms’ was a great way to kick off the new year. In March Ricki-Lee was announced as the headline artist for the ‘Sydney Gay & Lesbian Mardi Gras Harbour Party’.
With consistent chart and airplay success spanning over an impressive 10 year career Ricki-Lee’s star is still rising. Having launched her first clothing line ’Ricki-Lee Army’ through Cotton On Body, Coulter is currently putting the final touches on her brand new album, to follow up the success of Fear & Freedom. In August 2013 Come & Get In Trouble With Me skyrocketed up the charts and took over the airwaves. She had everybody talking about her sexy Studio 54 inspired video for the single, and her amazing live performance on X Factor that transformed the stage to a disco extravaganza! And there is one thing for sure. Ricki-Lee is on fire and she is not slowing down!!!
