Scooby’s eclectic mix of talents offers a variety of different shows and performances which range from a 45 minute stage or street show to a 6 minute world class juggling act. Scooby’s ability to adapt and suite any venue or arena makes him one of the most exciting international performers at any festival.

Diabolo

Using a prop invented over 2000 years ago, Scooby exhibits his mastery of this art though his fast paced, world class Diabolo act. Utilising a mixture of traditional and contemporary styles, this act is filled with high calibre entertainment, amazing feats of precision and dexterity while still maintaining the beauty and intricacy of this ancient Chinese art form.

Spinning Plates

Watch Scooby as he precariously attempts to spin more plates than you have fingers 5 feet from the ground. But watch out, these plates aren’t pretend! For over 5 minutes he will have you on the edge of your seat mesmerised and amazed with anticipation- Will he succeed, or will they fall? This act is sure to make any event a smashing one.

Juggling

Juggling is something Scooby is no stranger to. For more than 9 years Scooby has entertained people from all over Australia with his unique, quirky brand of comedy-juggling. See Scooby juggling multiple props high in the air, dangerously manipulate fire torches under his legs and achieve tricky and perplexing combinations and moves around his entire body- Doing it all with style.

Roving Entertainment

Whether he is weaving in and out of people on a Unicycle, Doing on the spot tricks or putting on a small show for a group of patrons, Scooby’s charm and circus tricks are sure to entertain and give everyone that all important lasting impression of the event.

Born and raised on the sunny coast of Western Australia, Scooby began receiving artistic recognition when he was just 8 years old, being cast in a small production with a local theatre academy. He naturally excelled on stage, progressing from dramatic arts through to musical and physical theatre. In which, he both demonstrated his exceptional talent for music and acquired a number of skills in the areas of stage combat and stunts through his study of martial arts.

Scooby was awarded a music scholarship to study at College, with which he performed in a number of big bands and solo performances; winning competitions in both categories.

Through his love for entertaining crowds, his fascination with the beauty and intricacy of the arts and the physicality that came with performing, Scooby found circus.

Training under the wing of the late Dr. Reg Bolton and at the West Australian Circus School, Scooby quickly exceeded his teachers in the art of juggling. He soon gained the title of Master Manipulation Trainer at both the nationally recognized West Australian Circus School and the West Coast Circus School. Scooby has travelled around Australia, invited as a guest trainer and performer at countless conventions, festivals and circus-related events.

Scooby is a choreographer, director, lead juggler and headline solo performer in numerous large-scale stage productions and events. Touring Australia, he has had the opportunity to perform for CircusOz, the Perth International Arts Festival, Fremantle International Buskers and Street Arts Festival and has also performed as Head Juggler under the Lavis Brothers Circus Big Top.
