Rebecca completed her Bachelor of Music Performance (Piano) at the Victorian College of the Arts in 1999, studying with Dr Elyane Laussade, Caroline Almonte and Mack Jost AM. Rebecca has since undertaken Post-Graduate studies in Conducting and Repetiteur Studies under the tutelage of Professor John Hopkins OBE, Mark Summerbell, Andrea Katz, Thomas Woods, Vladimir Vais and Dr David Kram. She completed the Young Conductors Programme in 2005 (Melbourne Youth Music) and also holds a Licentiate in Music – piano from the AMEB. Highlights for Rebecca have included The Wizard of Oz (musical director), Stravinsky's Petrouchka – orchestral pianist, Shostakovich's Symphony No. 5 - orchestral pianist, Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No. 2 The Little Russian – assistant conductor, Scenes and Arias – repetiteur (Australian Youth Orchestra 2005) and Don Pasquale – repetiteur. Last year she was invited to Darwin to both sing and play a mixture of operatic and music theatre works as part of The 3 Chinese Tenors - The 8 Sopranos concert. Most recently, Rebecca has returned from a ten week study tour of Dresden and Berlin after winning a Goethe Institut German language Scholarship. Upcoming performances include conducting an orchestral concert for the Victorian Youth Symphony, featuring works by Australian composers.
