Paris Wells is a fresh, modern and exciting young Melbournian, taking the Australian music scene by storm. If you haven’t heard her yet then she will soon become your eardrum’s best friend.

She has built up an incredible street level buzz through the local underground scene before jetting off to support Justin Timberlake. After this the word quickly spread, and within months her appearances spread across events such as Big Day Out, Falls Festival, Moomba, Earth Hour, St Kilda Festival, Sydney Music Festival & Meredith Music Festival. Another 6 months of sold-out intimate shows in some of the country’s hippest venues then followed.

In October 2010, she released her highly anticipated second album, Various Small Fires. Her music reflects her free spirit and each song connects flawlessly through the theme/title taken from Ed Ruscha’s intriguing 1964 book ‘Various Small Fires and Milk’.

In the past year we have seen her perform live on Good News Week, Sunrise, The Morning Show, Crown Oaks Day and at the AFL, further expanding her fan base outside of the trendsetters that have made her one of the most talked about female Australian acts in recent years.

Paris has the grace and style of Audrey Hepburn with the attitude of Keith Richards and it’s evident that within the space of the past twelve months she has solidified herself as one of the country’s most electrifying emerging artists. It appears as if Paris’ skyward journey won’t be stopping anytime soon.
