Mookums began DJing in 2002 playing hip-hop, however over the years he has built a considerable profile in Melbourne playing a range of music. His current favoured palette focuses on dance floor filling party music, combining his own edits and remixes with ridiculously hard to find dance floor bombs from all over the globe. He can also play deeper grooves to provide that perfect ambience often required for a more subtle DJ performance. And he can do everything in between.

Mookums has held residencies or regular guest spots at all of Melbourne’s hottest clubs including Escobar, Two Floors Up, Revolver, Cushion Lounge, Lounge, and Brown Alley to name but a few.

One of Melbourne's most prominent and in-demand jocks, in 2007-2008 Mookums was heard spinning on Melbourne dance music radio station Kiss FM, as co-host of both 'The Escobar Show' and also the weekday breakfast show 'The First Round'. He was also promoted on national youth radio station Triple J as a featured guest alongside Argentinean superstar DJ Hernan Cataneo.

Mookums' undoubted strength is his versatility. He is equally adept at rocking an underground club as he is filling the dance floor at a corporate function; equally skilled in his ability to provide the perfect chilled atmosphere for a product launch or fashion event as he is at adding a crowd pleasing yet completely individual touch to a private function looking for something just that little bit different.
