Sarah’s 16-year career in journalism has included roles at Prime Media Group, Seven Network and Nine Network. In recent years, she has presented and reported for Nine’s Weekend Today, Mornings, Nine News Australia and Today.

Sarah’s journalism career began in 1997 at Seven Brisbane, where she filed reports for Seven News and later Today Tonight, before accepting a posting to Prime Gold Coast News.

Sarah spent three years reporting for Nine Queensland’s local programs Extra and National Nine News Queensland. She also had presenting stints on Saturday Extra and Gold Coast Weekend before joining Today in 2004.

As Today’s Brisbane reporter, Sarah travelled the state to cover some of Queensland’s biggest news stories, delivering live reports from the scene of Bundaberg’s Tilt Train Disaster in November 2004, as well as Sir Joh Bjelke Petersen’s controversial State Funeral in Kingaroy in 2005.

While at Nine she co-presented 2004 New Year’s Eve Fireworks Live Special, co-hosted Queensland weekend show Saturday Afternoon, and joined Richard Wilkins and Catriona Rowntree in 2006 on the white carpet in a roving reporter role for Nine’s Prime-Time Logies Arrivals coverage.

In 2009 Sarah joined Nine News Australia as a reporter and newsreader and during this time she reported on the 2013 Coonabarrabran bushfires, London 2012 Olympic Games and London 2012 Paralympic Games, the 2011 Australian tours of Queen Elizabeth and Crown Princess Mary, The Royal Wedding in London, ANZAC Day from Gallipoli, the Queensland Floods, Cyclone Yasi, Christchurch earthquake in New Zealand, the 2010 Samoan tsunami, and the 2009 Victoria’s Black Saturday Bushfires.

In 2012 she became the fill-in host for Weekend Today andMornings.

Sarah studied Journalism and International Business at the Queensland University of Technology.
