The Pachuco Playboys play the roots of salsa on montuno, boogaloo and cha cha cha. With a dream rhythm section of Chris Lesser on piano, Simon Starr on double bass and Lliam Freeman on guitar, the Pachuco Playboys have an intuitive groove. Underpinning the sound are two of Australia's most experienced and respected Latin percussionists, Javier Fredes and Leo Salvo. Javi and Leo have been playing together since they were teenagers and together they create a driving rhythmic foundation. Add to this Sally Ford's powerful bel canto vocal style, her soaring flute and alto sax combined with the soulful sounds of Patrick Cronin's trumpet and you have one of the most danceable and exciting Latin acts in town. Leo salvo also adds his fabulous voice to several tunes.
