James Liotta is an award winning performer who has been active in the entertainment industry for over 20 years. He has worked as an actor, performer, comedian, presenter, M.C and radio announcer.

In 2013 he won Best Male Actor with Star Central magazine in Sydney.

His television credits include: Upper Middle Bogan, Utopia, Underbelly Squizzy, Thank God You’re Here, Prank Patrol, Paper Giants, Neighbours, Quizmania, Satisfaction, and Hey Hey It’s Saturday, just to name a few. He was also co-host for 3 seasons of the comedy talk show PLANET UNEARTH which screened on Foxtel Aurora and in 2014 making its return debut on Channel 9 GO! He has appeared on numerous TV commercials, most recently for McCains and Fox Footy. On film James has played various roles in countless quality short films and many independent feature films. He has also been cast in a top 16 finalist Tropfest short film 2010. (The largest short film festival in the world)

For 7 years James was up on stage as a lead cast member at Witches in Britches Theatre Restaurant performing every weekend. He has recently moved on from the establishment to concentrate on his TV career.

On radio James has been presenting shows for a variety of community radio stations which include: Hitz FM, Pulse FM and Syn FM. Behind the scenes his experience in radio via production and promotion roles have also seen him work at MIX 101.1FM, MTR, SEN 1116, FOX FM, SBS RADIO and 3AK. Currently James presents a weekly comedy talk show every Thursday night on 98.9 North West FM. (The Bash Radio Show)

As an M.C he has worked around Australia for various prominent festivals and local council festivals, these also include multi-cultural events specifically targeting the Italian community of Australia as James is regularly booked for Italian entertainment events due to his Italian heritage.

Within the Italian community James has been entertaining audiences with his unique style of Italian/Australian stand up comedy. In 2011 James released his first independent ethnic comedy CD titled 'The Antipasto Mix'.

These days James is called to support some of the biggest names in ethnic comedy around Australia, such as: Joe Avati, John Burgos and George Kapiniaris.

James is also the Director of 'Comic Variety Theatre Productions’ which specialise in performing theatre in education shows to schools who are learning the Italian language as their LOTE. These culturally driven comedy shows are seen by thousands of students each year across Melbourne, Victoria and South Australia, now in it’s 10th year.

In 2007 James was the recipient of the Excellence in Multi-cultural Arts Awards, presented to him by The State Government Of Victoria and the Hon. John Brumby. He is one of the youngest winners for this particular award.
