Alan is a well-known performer in Australia. A frequent popular guest at urban and rural festivals, he has performed poetry on the giant stage of the Melbourne's Myer Music Bowl, in the Melbourne Comedy Festival, at the prestigious Southgate precinct, in the Adelaide Fringe Festival and has featured in corporate events from Perth to Sydney.

Combining dry humour with seriousness and silliness, Alan has delighted audiences on three continents for more than ten years with his animated Aussie-style bush poetry on themes ranging from lost love to the virtues of gumboots. Combining both traditional and contemporary bush poems with good old Aussie-schtick, Alan has also performed at the prestigious Edmonton International Street Performers' Festival, at the US West Buskerfest in Denver, as well as at the Winnipeg, Saskatoon and Vancouver Fringe Festivals, presenting poetry in his own funny inimitable way. (Alan can perform as a roving entertainer, and is also great for short energy filled brackets while the band takes a break between sets…)
