‘Best Group' at the 2002 Sydney Cabaret Convention, The Voice Squad is one of Australia’s hottest new vocal ensembles. They are a dynamic vocal quartet who sing unaccompanied (a cappella) – just four beautiful voices: Margie Coen, soprano; Eleanor Sheedy, mezzo-soprano; Luke Redmond, tenor and Kirk Hume, Bass. But this group is a quartet with a difference… they take you on a musical journey from opera to pop with a little jazz thrown in and just a smattering of rock. The Voice Squad are all accomplished opera singers, who believe that a great tune is a great tune, no matter when it was written!

The group’s credits are extensive, having sung for Opera Australia, The Centenary of Federation of Australia and such venues as the home of jazz in Sydney, The Basement and the Sydney Opera House. Recently, the group was one of the headline acts in an outdoor concert on Cronulla Beach for Australia Day Celebrations (Jan 26). More than 10,000 music-lovers rocked on with The Squad for an evening of great songs and a picnic by the beach. In April 2003, The Voice Squad are appearing exclusively at Wyndham Estate Winery, in the beautiful wine-growing area on New South Wales, The Hunter Valley. They are currently recording their first CD.
