Mark Fitzgibbon (piano) is an integral part of Melbourne’s ever widening jazz scene. Mark is always musically tasteful, a consistently sympathetic accompanist, with a repository of a vast repertoire and an impeccable touch, he can produce blistering solos and ‘lift’ the music to another level. He is a past winner of the Wangaratta piano award and has worked with many of Australia’s finest including Dale Barlow, Bernie McGann, Vince Jones, Chris McNulty and Christine Sullivan. His latest recording and debut as a leader “24 hour Blues” is available on Newmarket records and has received rave reviews. Mark is soon to be featured leading a Jazz Septet in the movie “The Bank” currently being shot in Melbourne.
