Mark Da Costa and The Black List are an explosive, high energy, live rock and roll band; a powerful quartet incorporating drums, bass, guitar and the charismatic Mark Da Costa on lead vocals.

The Black List was formed following Mark’s success in Australian Idol in late 2007. The band has already enjoyed resident gigs at some of Melbourne’s premier venues, including Crown Casino and the Melbourne Central Lion Hotel, and is now available for a range of private and community functions.

Mark Da Costa and The Black List have an extensive song list including classic rock anthems, eighties’ hits and current top 40 rock tunes. The performers believe (and are sure you’ll agree) that three things are vital for the success of any performance: top quality musicianship, a hot image and a highly interactive and exciting live show that will leave your audience screaming for more!

Mark Da Costa :

Ian ‘Dicko’ Dickson commented that he was the season’s best performer and Kyle complained that the audience was screaming so enthusiastically he found it hard to hear. Prior to his appearance in the top 10 contestants, Mark had already sung countless gigs in the Sydney and Melbourne music scene. Mark is an unbelievable vocal powerhouse and demonstrates his love of the Rock genre in every performance he gives.
