Fiona Mariah comes from Western Australia. She completed her formal music studies in London, where she was awarded many prestigious scholarships and prizes. In 1994 she graduated with Honours in Opera Performance with a Diploma and Licentiate of the Royal Academy of Music.

Since then her operatic and recital career has taken her around the world delighting her audiences with the radiance of her voice, engaging stage presence, dazzling vocal display and powerful acting abilities, all of which has the critics searching for superlatives.

Fiona’s operatic roles are too numerous to mention, but they encompass the major soprano roles of Mozart, Puccini, Handel, Verdi, Lehar and Britten. She has an extensive repertoire of Light Opera, Operetta and Oratorio and has sung orchestral concerts, recitals and many lead roles throughout the United Kingdom, Ireland, Europe, the U.S.A. and the Middle East. In 1994 she was the soprano soloist in Mahler’s 4th Symphony conducted by Sir Colin Davis.

In 1998-2000 her comic abilities were brilliantly displayed on the London West End Stage, when she played Carlotta – the Italian opera diva in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s “Phantom of the Opera” an din 2002 she was thrilled to be named Covent Garden Performer Of The Year for her one woman show that was always performed to very enthusiastic audiences.

In 2004 Fiona decided to raise her young son in Australia and returned to Perth. She now endeavours to make musical opportunities wherever she can and hopes to further her career and raise her profile throughout Australia.
